What is epistaxis??

What is Epistaix - It is a disease .In this disease blood comes from nose or bleeding in nose



 Whenever blood comes from nose treatment of patient is very important that time because more bleeding can cause death of patient.

Blood in nose comes from two places of nose-

  1. From front part inside of nose.
  2. From back part inside of nose.

Reasons of epistaxis-

  • Injury in nose.
  • Infection in nose.
  • Hypertension.
  • Haemorrhage  disease
  • Nasal tumor etc.

Treatment of epistaxis-

  • Let the patient sit and move his head forward whereby blood flow toward outside otherwise blood reaches in stomach by throat.
  • Check inside of nose and find out the place from where blood comes into nose
  • Take a ball of cotton and put it in a solution of Hydrogen peroxide (25%) and Epinephrine  (1:1000) after this put this cotton ball into nose for 5 minutes or until then blood get stopped.

Note - If bleeding did not stopped and blood comes in large quantity then you need to go near a doctor because it can cause dead of patient.
